  I paid over £560 for some high end varifocals with transition coating. My previous glasses from Knight's gave me no problems. These had to go back within a few months because the coating was defective. Not their fault, but when one of the nose pads broke off I checked on the phone that they could replace it easily. On arriving I was quizzed on how this could happen and told it was accidental damage and would cost £3. The assistant had a real struggle to do the repair and after I made a fuss there was no charge. On reaching my car I swapped glasses and noticed that the replacement pad didn't match. Back again, and the technician replaced the other pad in no time. Unfortunately, the design of the nose pads is not very good so I'd rate my whole customer experience as a disaster. On reflection I've only seen customers in there who are well past retirement age so beware. 4Sight will do little jobs like this free, without any interrogation as my wife enjoyed telling me. At Knight's you are paying over the odds for inferior service and in the case of this spectacle frame an inferior product.
